Built for healthcare.
Serious about compliance.
ClearDoc is designed from the ground up for South African healthcare regulations — POPIA, HPCSA standards, and the legal realities of telehealth practice.
Every compliance pillar.
In one platform.
POPIA Compliance
Patient data is collected with explicit, documented consent. Consent timestamps and IP addresses are recorded per POPIA Section 11. Patients can request erasure at any time. Data is never sold or shared with third parties.
✓ POPIA Section 11HPCSA Practitioner Responsibility
Every document — prescription, medical certificate, contraceptive card — carries the issuing practitioner's HPCSA number and practice registration number. ClearDoc is a technology platform; clinical responsibility remains with the practitioner.
✓ HPCSA GuidelinesEncrypted Patient Records
All patient data is stored in an encrypted database hosted in South Africa. Connections are enforced over HTTPS with HSTS. Session cookies are HTTPOnly and expire automatically after 8 hours of inactivity.
✓ Encrypted at rest & in transitTelehealth Consent
A structured consent module captures patient acknowledgement of virtual care limitations before each consultation — covering the nature of remote care, data accuracy, and emergency escalation. Consent is stored permanently against the appointment record.
✓ Pre-consultation consentRole-Based Access Control
Staff members are assigned roles — Owner, Manager, Receptionist, Clinical — that strictly limit what data they can view and edit. Clinical records are never accessible to reception-only users. Every login and action is logged.
✓ Least-privilege accessICD-10 Clinical Coding
Diagnoses on prescriptions, certificates, and SOAP notes support ICD-10 classification codes — essential for medical aid billing and clinical record integrity under South African medico-legal standards.
✓ ICD-10 supportedEvery action recorded.
Forever.
ClearDoc maintains a comprehensive audit log of all clinical and administrative actions — who did what, when, and from which IP address. This is not optional; it runs automatically in the background.

Every document is verifiable.
Instantly. By anyone.
Prescriptions, medical certificates, and contraceptive cards carry a unique QR code. Pharmacies, employers, and schools can scan it to instantly verify the document's authenticity — without calling your practice.
Document is issued
When a practitioner issues a prescription or certificate, a unique verification token is automatically assigned and embedded as a QR code.
Patient receives the document
The PDF is emailed directly to the patient. The QR code is printed visibly on the document, linking to a secure verification page.
Third party scans to verify
A pharmacy, employer, or school scans the QR code with any phone camera. They see the practitioner's name, HPCSA number, and document details — instantly confirmed as genuine.
Tamper-evident by design
The QR code links to a read-only server record. Any altered or fraudulent copy of the document will fail verification immediately.
